What Is A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business ?

The United States Government sets  aside contract benefits for companies considered SDVOSB. The current VETS contract has a ceiling of $5 billion. While this money is set aside by the Office of Federal Procurement it is up to the government agencies to provide the contracts, mainly the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA).

The White House stipulates three percent of all federal contracts must go to service-disabled veteran owned businesses.

Contracting officers at the USG agencies have the authority to reserve certain procurements and implement non-compete contracts for service-disabled veteran-owned businesses.
